Tropylium bromide undergoes noncatalyzed, regioselective additions to a large variety of Michael acceptors. In this way, acrylic esters are converted into β‐bromo‐α‐cycloheptatrienylpropionic esters. The reactions are interpreted as nucleophilic attack of bromide ions at the electron‐deficient olefins and the approach of the tropylium ion to the incipient carbanion. Quantum chemical calculations were performed to elucidate the analogy to the amine‐ or phosphine‐catalyzed Rauhut–Currier reactions. Subsequent synthetic transformations of the bromo‐cycloheptatrienylated adducts are reported. 相似文献

Nanosized powders of Ti-Nb oxide core-shell nanocrystals with atomic ratios of Nb/Ti = 0.11, 0.25, and 0.38 have been prepared
by two preparation routes. The first route was co-precipitation, followed by␣annealing, using NbCl5 as a source of Nb. The second route was coating of pure TiO2 nanocrystals by Nb-isopropoxide in liquid medium, followed by impregnation of the Nb into the nanoparticles by annealing.
Both methods yielded anatase nanocrystals with a Nb-rich shell and a core, which had much lower Nb loadings. The anatase structure
solid solution (with Nb incorporated) was stable under annealing up to 760°C. The particle size remained within the nanometric
scale (<50 nm) under heat-treatment up to 760°C. It has been shown that the fabricated powders can be redispersed in aqueous media
by simple ultrasound treatment, resulting in nanosized dispersions. Using a variety of analytical techniques, including depth
profiling of single nanocrystallites by AES combined with sputtering by Ar ions, the mechanism of the core-shell structure
creation was studied. It is proposed that the formation of the core-shell structure is governed by solubility limitations
in the co-precipitation route and by solubility and diffusion limitations in the coating-incorporation route. 相似文献

We present an improved direct measurement of the parity-violation parameter A(b) in the Z boson-b-quark coupling using a self-calibrating track-charge technique applied to a sample enriched in Z-->bb events via the topological reconstruction of the B hadron mass. Manipulation of the Stanford Linear Collider electron-beam polarization permits the measurement of A(b) to be made independently of other Z-pole coupling parameters. From the 1996-1998 sample of 400,000 hadronic Z decays, produced with an average beam polarization of 73.4%, we find A(b)=0.906+/-0.022(stat)+/-0.023(syst). 相似文献

o-Phthalaldehyde (OPA) derivatives of eight biogenic amines were stabilized at 5 degrees C by forming inclusion complexes with methyl-beta-cyclodextrin (MBCD). The derivatives were separated and detected by cyclodextrin-modified capillary electrophoresis (CE) with UV or laser-induced fluorescence (LIF) detection. Using a borate buffer, pH 9.0 consisting of ethanol and a mixture of negatively charged sulfobutylether-beta-cyclodextrin and neutral MBCD, baseline separation of the eight OPA derivatives was achieved within 25 min with high separation efficiencies. The detection limits (S/N=3) obtained by UV and LIF detection were determined to be 10 microM and 0.250 microM, respectively. Glutamic acid was added after the initial derivatization step to neutralize residual OPA which otherwise caused a significant interference, particularly when analysis was performed around the detection limit of the OPA derivatives. Important biogenic amines in fish, wine and urine were then derivatized and determined by CE-LIF. In the case of sole and rainbow trout, the results obtained were validated by an enzymatic assay using putrescine oxidase. 相似文献

The van der Waals potential of two atoms in the presence of an arbitrary arrangement of dispersing and absorbing magnetoelectric
bodies is studied. Starting from a polarizable atom placed within a given geometry, its interaction with a second polarizable/magnetizable
atom is deduced from its Casimir-Polder interaction with a weakly polarizable/magnetizable test body. The general expressions
for the van der Waals potential obtained thusly are illustrated by considering first the case of two atoms in free space,
with special emphasis on the interaction between (i) two polarizable atoms and (ii) a polarizable and a magnetizable atom.
Furthermore, the influence of magnetoelectric bodies on the van der Waals interaction is studied in detail for the example
of two atoms placed near a perfectly reflecting plate or a magnetoelectric half space, respectively.

Tithonia tagetiflora Desv. (Asteraceae) is a widespread plant in Vietnam, and the species of Tithonia are known as plants containing many biologically active compounds. However, T. tagetiflora's chemical composition remains mostly unknown. Therefore, we now report the structural elucidation of two new sesquiterpene lactones, 8‐angeloyloxy‐2,14‐epoxygermacra‐4,10(1),11(13)‐trien‐6,12‐olide (1) and 6‐angeloyloxy‐1‐hydroxy‐3,4‐epoxygermacra‐9,11(13)‐dien‐8,12‐olide (2), together with three known compounds, including two norisoprenoids, (6S,9S)‐vomifoliol or (6R,9R)‐vomifoliol (3) and (6S,9S)‐roseoside (4), and one glutinane type triterpene, epi‐glutinol (5), from the leaves of T. tagetiflora. This study is directed towards investigating the role of the surface treatment of clay particles on the rheological and thermomechanical
behaviour of clay-epoxy blends. Nanocomposites were prepared by mixing small amounts (5–10 mass %) of commercial organoclays
or raw clays with an epoxy system commonly used in civil engineering. Rheological characterisations in the liquid state revealed
a pronounced thixotropic character of the organoclay-based systems, which all exhibited a shear-thinning behaviour above a
critical stress threshold (yield stress), depending on both the intensity of interfacial interactions and the degree of filler
dispersion. On the other hand, systems based on raw clay particles behaved like Newtonian fluids, in the same way as the unreinforced
polymer matrix. Complementary dynamic mechanical analyses (DMA) performed on the cured cross-linked nanocomposites also showed
significant changes in the viscoelastic behaviour of the epoxy matrix due to the introduction of organoclays, whereas only
minor variations were observed following the introduction of raw fillers. These results were consistent with nanoscale morphological
characterisations performed by conventional X-ray diffraction (XRD) on the various hybrid systems. In this context, rheology
and DMA appear as attractive alternative methods for assessing the filler dispersion at a macroscopic (and possibly more relevant)
scale. This research is of practical interest for civil engineers, since clay reinforced-epoxies could in the future be used
as coating materials with enhanced barrier performances, in order to protect infrastructures against environmental ageing
